In Brazil, there is a huge gas station in the middle of a scorched earth, crossed by a road without end.?Cocada and Abednego were 13 and 14.?Cocada has a dream to become a truck driver.?He sleeps in a truck cab; he serves and does odd jobs.?His father was murdered so he found a surrogate father, Mineiro, a driver who takes out time to talk to him and support him when the temptation of ill-gotten money is too strong.?Nego, he lives in a slum, surrounded by innumerable siblings.?After working in the fields, her mother wants him to go to school but he wants to get out of there, to make money.?At night he prowls at the station, fascinated by the lighted windows, shops that sell everything, the plentiful food.?With Cocada, his friend, they watch the constant movement of trucks and passengers and what all they speak, they don’t know.?With this remarkable maturity which they’ve gained too early, they question their identity and future.?Their unique perspective: a route to Sao Paulo, to an elsewhere.
