Let’s celebrate Autism

About the Artist: Amrit is a young, emerging artist with no formal training in art. Rather than become a debilitating factor, this lack of training transitions into an innocent, virgin rendition of her understanding of the world around her. Amrit has a unique style of her own. She mostly paints portraits and has also developed a penchant for the abstract. She has had one solo show at the Habitat Centre. She has also participated in 6 group shows, one being overseas. Amrit also expresses herself in the form of ceramic work. Her distinct style can be found in pieces of pottery. Her work can be found in many private collections and has received much acclaim and praise for their strength of expression and the use of warm color tones. Amrit has Autism.

The Art: Amrit’s latest works are a testimony to the fact ‘The face is the mirror of the mind, and eyes without speaking confess the secrets of the hearts’. She draws inspiration from the myriad people and situations around her. She uses the bliss in either abstract or human forms. Her art is a beautiful harmony of colors, rhythm of lines and forms. Her sense of composition and colors in the paintings touches the soul and transcends the art aficionados into a world of sublime fantasy. The overflow and mixing of colors in a powerful way creates lasting impact in her paintings.
