We are very excited to present our much-awaited Mela on March 21st 2015, the culmination day of Francophonie week!
This Mela day will be a unique introduction to the universe of Francophonie, through a wide range of events, including film screenings, musical and theatrical performances, art exhibitions.
The event will gather representatives of many different Francophone countries, animating stalls set up all over Alliance Française de Delhi, sharing information about their cultures and delicious food from all around the world. There will also be prizes to be won. A precious occasion to discover all the joys and pleasures of Francophone cultures, in a cheerful atmosphere!

Vasundhara Vidalur has been an active contributor to the movement that brought back RnB,Soul and Jazz into clubs, popular radio stations and young people’s playlists in India.
Her sound and her story have been showcased on the award winning documentary series THE DEWARISTS on Star World, on Sound Trek on Fox Traveller and many others. The single ‘If Only’ that she recorded in collaboration with Tarun Balani has garnered significant critical acclaim and is being played on VH1 and MTVindies for the past few months.
Vasundhara was awarded the Best Female Vocalist award at the Jack Daniels Awards in 2014 for her work on her debut album ‘AMPERSAND’ with her former band ‘Adil & Vasundhara’. The album was recorded in the fabled Yash Raj Film Studios in Mumbai and features luminaries like Louiz Banks, Loy Mendonsa, Ranjit Barot, Sanjay Divecha, Zubin Babaporia etc.
The sound palette Vasundhara creates has been adopted by many top fashion designers. She has performed for and been styled by Ravi Bajaj, Ashish N Soni, Suneet Varma at their fashion shows and has also performed at the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week Finale 2013.
You have seen her perform at every premier venue in the country and in concerts and club shows in France, Turkey, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei etc.
A few years ago, Vasundhara started a project called FUNKOPHONIE with Mr. Jean Philippe Bottin (Director Alliance Française de Delhi) wherein French and francophone music was interpreted in the jazz , RnB and Funk paradigm.
Now solo, Vasundhara brings together ensembles with the top musicians from across India to form customized outfits for musical events.
She is also an active Voice Over artist with her narrations and vocals lent to Nestle, ITC Hotels, Indigo Airlines, Red FM, Omaxe and the likes.
