 Reading May 68

A period of civil unrest in France

In France, as in many other countries, May 1968 was a period of revolt by its youth. On the occasion of 50th anniversary of the events of May 68, Alliance Francaise de Delhi commemorates this period of student-revolt, during which a new creativity was expressed. Two exhibitions as well as a round table are being organized to understand different perspectives of this movement which marked strongly the political and cultural life both in France and elsewhere.

• Round-Table: Reading May 68. 16th March 2018, 7 pm, M.L. Bhartia Auditorium, Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
• Exhibition: A Tribute – Posters of Atelier Populaire, Paris May 68, 17th- 31st March 2018, every day between 9am to 6pm, Alliance Francaise Gurgaon Centre.
• Photography exhibition by Philippe Gras 16th April – 4th May 2018, every day between 9am to 6pm, Media Library, Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
