- What is the basic difference between Extensive and Intensive?
The basic difference between Extensive and Intensive is the duration of the course. Extensive is a slow track course in which one covers 40 hrs of a level whereas Intensive is a fast track course in which one covers 80 hrs of a level. All the levels are divided into parts and when one covers single part in one session that is for 2.5 months which is called extensive (40 hrs). If one combines two parts together of a level that is intensive (80 hrs).
- Are there classes on the weekends?
Yes, we do have classes on weekends. There are two weekends- extensive and intensive weekend. Extensive weekend is for 2hrs Saturday and Sunday (40 hrs). Intensive weekend is for 4 hrs Saturday and Sunday (80 hrs).
- What are the suitable timings for the working professionals?
Suitable timings for the working professionals can be: 7:30 am - 9:30 am or 6:00 pm-8:00 pm either on weekdays or on weekends.
- How many sessions are there in a year?
There are 4 sessions in a year March-May, June-August, August-November, November-February.
- Is this course a diploma or degree course?
It is a diploma course for 3 years. There are six levels and after the completion of the classes of each level one can take up a DELF/DALF exams in order to get a diploma.
- Are there any private classes given?
Yes, we do have an option of private classes. Charges per hour varies, concerned person is Mr. Shiv.
- I have basic knowledge of French, is there a way to asses my level?
If someone has already done French before and to assess one’s level one has to take up an orientation test i.e. a level checking test, the level of a candidate will be checked and judged and will be given an appropriate level.
- What are the modes of payment?
Modes of payment will be cash, cheque or demand draft.
- Can I pay in installments?
There is no option of paying by installments. One has to pay in one go at the time of registration.
- Can I change to a different timing, if I feel the timings are not suitable?
Yes, one has the option of changing timings, before the session starts, if not then one has to pay the transfer fee Rs/- 1000/- (once the session starts). Provided the seats are available in the other batch.
- Can I do a course by correspondence?
As a correspondence course one can opt for an online course i.e. to learn French online for further information one can log on to : www.clickonfrench.com.
- What are the job prospects after learning French?
We have a placement cell which is handled by the Admin Manager. For the job prospects and placements one can contact Ms. Tamanna Kapur (Admin. Manager). There are some companies, BPO’s, KPO’s who are dealing with French companies and has a French process. One can become a translator, interpreter or teaches minimum level required will be B1, B2 (approx 2 years).
- Are there any accommodation and conveyance facilities?
We do not provide any accommodation and conveyance facilities.

Alliance Française is affiliated by the French Embassy in India.
