Level requirement: B2
This course is aimed at students who have reached the B2 level or who have attended over 500 hours of French.
Content:
Take up themes that are related to the issues of the contemporary life such as:
- Unemployment;
- Violence;
- Globalisation;
- Pollution;
- Media;
- Education
Structure of a lesson:
- Organisation of a discourse:
- Presentation;
- Explanation;
- Illustration;
- Different speech acts such as how to:
- Express one’s views;
- Agree or disagree;
- Concede;
- Object;
- Persuade;
- Reassure;
- Intervene;
- Understate;
- Negate;
- Strategies:
- To argue;
- To influence;
- To provoke;
- To dissuade;
Frequency: 2 hours twice a week for 10 weeks.
