Translation courses

Objective: The objective of the course is to sharpen the knowledge of French through translation activities using excerpts of technical and legal documents as well as newspaper articles and the like. Level requirement: B2 This course is aimed at students who have reached B2 level or who have already attended over 500 hours of French. They should also have an excellent command over the English language.

Approach: Using a good bilingual dictionary, students will be assigned translations tasks in French and in English alternatively, which they will prepare at home, for correction in class. Elements of methodology of translation will also be taught through these practical activities.

Frequency: 2 hours twice a week for 10 weeks (15 students max.)
