Learning through TV5 Monde
French with TV5
Objectives:
To practice general French based on up-to-date media. To develop one’s listening, reading and speaking skills.
Level requirement: B2
This course is aimed at students who have reached the B2 level or those who have attended over 480 hours of French. An active participation in speaking is required for this course.
Content: Various activities through
- Weather forecast
- Television games (Questions pour un champion, Des chiffres et des lettres)
- Literature and its screen adaptation
- Extracts of films
- Short films
- Reports
- Interviews (Double Je)
- Advertisements
- Songs (Paroles de clips)
- News bulletin (Le Journal TV5 Monde, 7 jours sur la planète)
Frequency: 2 hours twice a week for 10 weeks.
Days and Time: Saturday and Sunday, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm or Tuesday & Friday, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.
Duration: a 40 hour-term (Maximum of 15 students in a class).
