BOOKFACE CHALLENGE

“PUT YOUR BEST FACE FORWARD”

This January, we celebrate the 5th edition of the NUITS DE LA LECTURE. Participate in this hilarious challenge, and celebrate this festival of reading and sharing a fun way. Bookface involves strategically lining up your face or body alongside a book cover that features a matching body part so that there appears to be a melding of life and art.

Deadline: January 22, 2021

Ten best pictures will be published on our social media platforms, and later an exhibition will be conducted at Alliance Française de Delhi.

Here is how to take this challenge:

• It’s online and open to all language books! Find a book cover with a face or some other portion of a body.
• Use the book cover you choose to create a striking photo that will blur the lines between reality by replacing the book’s cover with parts of yourself. Take inspiration from the samples provided below.
• Write 3 lines about your motivation behind your choice of book in French.
• Snap a clear picture. (Use a Hi-re camera if it is possible).
• Email your BOOKFACE picture to [email protected].
• Include your first and last name and the word “BOOKFACE” in the subject line of your email. In your email body, add your name and class code, and then attach your picture.
• You can submit only one photo for this contest. 

Tips & Tricks:

• If the face on the book cover is the same size as your face, hold the book close.
• If larger than your face, hold the book further away.
• Get friends involved to hold the book, take the photo, or pose with you with their own BOOKFACE.
