You might have heard her during the last two Fêtes de la Musique in Hauz Khas Village. Her voice is strong and voluptuous, deep and melodious. She is a singer as well as an actress. You will enjoy the jazz show Cecile Thoen has created for Alliance Française de Delhi around the fantastic carrier and personality of Belgian singer Baroness Annie Cordy.

She has staged many memorable appearances at Bruno Coquatrix’ famous Paris Olympia. Her version of “La Ballade de Davy Crockett” was number 1 in the charts for five weeks in France in August 1956. She was born in Laeken, Belgium, where in 2004, King Albert II of Belgium bestowed upon her the title of Baroness in recognition for her life’s achievements.

You will discover the multi -faceted personality of this legend of the French and Belgian music’hall in a jazz show, which will make you go from laughters to tears.

Since there will be a lot of people attending this performance and that we will close the doors as soon as the auditorium is full, we urge you to come in advance to secure your seats.
