About: John Anthony and Claire Le Michel met in Trivandrum in Feb 2017. They shared thoughts on improvisations of Music and dance. It is a confluence of two cultures through music and dance. The musical compositions are a blend of the Oriental and the West. Similarly, the dance is a coming together of cultures.
The team will be composed of five artists – John Anthony, guitarist /composer, Rahul CR the bassist, vocalist Akhil Jaya Chand, Chandrasekhar R, the sound engineer together forming the group kARNATRiix, featuring Claire Le Michel singer, choreographer, and dancer. She has a theatre and Dance Company in France and The form of the performance will be that of a concert, with room for the dancer.
Theme: The show starts in darkness paying homage to The Gurus with Sanskrit Mantra Chants bleeding into “Angels Dust “. It begins before dawn and ends at sunset traversing through different emotions. The performance will be backed by sounds of nature and short French poems. The guiding thread of the performance is the relationship of Nature to its own nature, and the search for peace.
The title is inspired from the words of Gandhi. ” You must be the change; you wish to see in the World “.
