Paradis, created in 1997,is the ballet that revealed the style and flair of the Montalvo/ Hervieu company. It is a dance performance made sublime by artifice, inventiveness and sheer joy, driven by an enthusiasm that blends genres and cultures: hip-hop, classical ballet and African dance. Kind of musical, visual and danced collage, this choreography conjures up all sorts of universes, imaginaries and bestiaries. It is one of the French contemporary dance pieces that was the most shown in the world.
