Traditionally celebrated in open spaces with much fanfare, the worldwide festivity around Fête de la Musique or World Music Day, a day dedicated to the promotion of music, is bringing artistes and music-lovers together online this year – in a show of universal solidarity and strong cultural ties.
The Indo-French cultural center Alliance Française de Delhi (AF) invites music enthusiasts to join their virtual music concert, to be streamed live on June 21. It comprises two extraordinary performances: a 10-minute act by French pianist Olivier Moulin, and a 40-minute act by mother-son duo of Delhi-based Dutch cellist Saskia Rao-de Haas and 14-year-old music prodigy Ishaan Leonard Rao.
