In the framework of “In Writing” and “Swiss Literary Days” series, the official Swiss diplomatic missions in India, Pro Helvetia New Delhi Swiss Arts Council, Alliance Française de Delhi, and Institut Français in India present Elisa Shua Duspain, French-speaking Swiss author in conversation with Siba Barkataki.

Elisa and Siba will conduct a bilingual reading of her book Hiver à Sokcho (Winter in Sokcho). Siba will steer Q & A with the author and the audience. The reading will be followed by a Creative Writing Workshop in French. For those attending the workshop, knowledge of French is mandatory.

About the author

Elisa Shua Dusapin (ESD) is the daughter of a French father and a South Korean mother.  ESD came to Switzerland as a child and became a Swiss citizen at the age of 13. She started writing at high school in Porrentruy, canton of Jura. ESD studied at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel and graduated in 2014. Her first novel is “Hiver à Sokcho” and was published in 2016. In 2018 she published her second novel “Les Billes du Pachinko”. The novels of ESD take place in South Korea.
