On the occasion of the Nuits de la lecture, Alliance Française de Delhi invites you to join for a hybrid webinar conversation between Mr. Raj Kamal Jha, Editor-in-Chief, The Indian Express, and Mr. Vijay Singh, Writer & Filmmaker. The webinar will be moderated by Mr. Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens, Country Director, French Institute in India.
Supported by the French Institute in India, this tête-à-tête will discuss “How reading was discovered and helped people during lockdowns?”
About the participants:
Mr. Vijay Singh: Vijay Singh is an Indian novelist, screenplay-writer, and film-maker living in Paris. (Read full biography here)
Mr. Raj Kamal Jha: Raj Kamal Jha is Chief Editor of The Indian Express, which has won the International Press Institute’s Excellence of Journalism Award four times. The newspaper, as part of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, investigated the Panama Papers for which the ICIJ won the Pulitzer Prize. Jha is the author of five novels, three of having been translated into French (Gallimard, Actes Sud). His most recent novel, ‘The City and The Sea,’ won the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize 2021 and the Tata Literature’s Live Award for Best Book of the Year 2020 (Fiction).
