Chinese-Canadian writer Ying Chen will be in conversation with Vijaya Rao, Professor at the Centre for French & Francophone Studies, JNU, at 6.30 pm on 7th February 2020, in the M.L.Bhartia Auditorium.

Ying Chen is in New Delhi as part of an international conference on Quebec Studies, titled Extrême contemporain en littérature et culture.

Born in Shanghai, Ying Chen studied French language and literature at Fudan University before moving to Quebec in 1989. She writes in French and has published over 12 novels, a play, and some essays. She has been the recipient of three prizes for her book L’ingratitude in 1995 and 1996.
