When Europe Sings India

Opera is a spectacular genre which allies music and drama, and is often compared to Bollywood. But did you know that there are many operas that are actually inspired by Indian themes, tell Indian stories, and sometimes portray a romantic image of what the West dreams about the Orient?

This year, Alliance Française de Delhi along with the Neemrana Music Foundation celebrate India with a collection of arias and scenes from such operas. Two Franco-italian artists, Harmonie Deschamps and Adriano Spampanato collaborate with fifteen talented Indian singers for this festive show, sung in six languages.
