James, an Anglo-Saxon fifty-year-old writer, gives in Italy, at the occasion of the release of his last book, a conference on the theme of constricted relation between the original and the copy in the art. He meets a young woman of French origin, a gallery owner. They leave together for a few hours to San Gimignano, a small village near Florence. How to distinguish the original of the copy, the reality of the fiction?
