This one-day conference aims to introduce the work of Paul Ricoeur to the Indian academic world, while promoting different aspects of his philosophy among Indians studying his oeuvre. The conference also aims to analyze Ricoeur’s contribution to literature, psychology, and political philosophy, in particular, focusing on the ways his hermeneutics constitutes new forms of exploration of textuality in contemporary thought and ontological issues of narrative and history.
There will be two keynote speeches by French philosophers Ricoeur by Mongin and Joel Roman and four panel discussions (two in the morning and two in the afternoon).
