On the occasion of the World Environment day and to open the Eco Festival, Alliance Française de Delhi and Veolia will present a special screening of Oceans by Jacques Cluzaud and Jacques Perrin who have gathered again (after Winged Migration, in 2001, which showcased the immense journeys routinely made by birds during their migrations) for this documentary that explores the many mysteries of our planet’s oceans. Almost three-quarters of earth’s surface are covered by water, yet strangely we seem to know more about far-away galaxies than about the marine world. Directors, Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, dive deep into the sea, record the many dangers and beauties of both tropical waters and abysses, and depict the wondrous creatures that live in. Besides offering a beautiful approach to fauna and submarine landscapes, the movie also points out all the problems oceans face due to pollution. Featuring spectacular, never-seen before imagery captured by the latest underwater technologies, Oceans offers an unprecedented look beneath the sea in a powerful yet enchanting motion picture. OPEN TO ALL.
